Published by ACCA in collaboration with Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust and the European Commission Information Society Directorate – General, this recent report explains how deployment of new communications tools at Nottingham University Hospital resulted in patients spending less time waiting for treatment while doctors increased their available time for direct patient care time by around 40 minutes per day.
"The report provides a persuasive account of the huge impact the new communications infrastructure deployed at NUH has had on re-engineering the day-to-day working processes of its emergency department. The report highlights the role of communications tools in creating a more efficient, streamlined and peaceful working environment in which NUH can deliver high quality care to patients."
